Hypnobirthing

​Childbirth can be an empowering experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life. Hypnobirthing replaces fear and anxiety with calm and confidence by working with the body.

Fear creates tension which prevents the muscles of the body from relaxing and functioning the way nature intended.
Through being educated, self ​hypnosis and deep relaxation techniques, this will help you to take control. Resulting in a positive birth for you, your baby and partner. 
Having trained with Katherine Graves (the founder of KG Hypnobirthing) I have gone on to teach many mothers and their birth partners the positive effect of learning Hypnobirthing and how you can use these techniques in every day life, not just for birth. The course is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

You will learn :

  • Discuss fears/benefits of birth so can overcome any issues and build confidence.

  • Positivity throughout pregnancy and birth. How and why this is beneficial.

  • Breathing techniques that actually help during each stage of labour.

  • Visualisations and affirmations for a beautiful birth.

  • How to encourage a natural start to labour to avoid an artificial induction.

  • Relaxation, self-hypnosis and massage techniques to help shorten labour and reduce the need for any medication at all. Exercises to practice with and without your birthing partner so you are confident in having a calm and relaxed birth.

  • How to work with medical staff and what questions to ask to feel fully informed.

  • How you and your partner can bond with your unborn baby.

  • Watch Hypnobirthing DVD's to have an understanding of different birthing experiences and how the Hypnobirthing course helped.

Hypnobirthing Course ~ 4 x 2.5 hour classes

Private 1:1 course £325 

Group course £260

You will be given a copy of the KG Hypnobirthing book; the colour and calmness relaxation CD; folder with practical handouts for you to practice relaxation and mindfulness around birth; a full antenatal education about what to expect during labour and birth; fear release work around birth concerns; breathing techniques throughout labour and birth; visualisation skills and birth affirmations to support you; relaxation and massage techniques; birth videos and long guided relaxations; refreshments; on going support throughout and after the course.

Short Course ~ 5 hours (either a half day or split to 2.5 hrs per session)
